When we set out to publish ReAfrica magazine, we didn’t know much more than that we wanted to reveal the Africa we knew was behind the veil of negative stereotypes, apathy and downright indifference.
Our goal was to use ReAfrica online and digital platforms to reveal the Africa of our childhood, the memories of our parents and a collective vision for its future.
So we set about finding out what topics you want discussed, the issues that are important to you. You said you wanted to discuss:
Business, Music, Fashion, Sport, Money and Investments, Literature and so on
A long list that we look forward to exploring. And because we are dealing with such a large diaspora and even larger continent, we expect that we will come back to these topics again and again. Subscribe to the magazine on either ITunes or Google Play
The Africa on our minds
The Africa on our minds is powerful, creative, nurturing and beautiful.
The Africa on our minds has, and continues to produce raw talent, incessant potential and incredible passion in its people.
The Africa on our minds unites through its music, food, fashion, literature and culture.
The Africa on our minds should be on yours too. It is a place to discover, enjoy and celebrate.
This issue as with all subsequent ones, we hope, will do three things:
It will inspire – with stories of interesting people of African descent making a difference to their community and our world
It will motivate – with the sounds and visual imagery; we want you to engage with Africa differently or anew
It will instruct– with practical information, tools and resources to succeed professionally, personally and in business
